Introduction to Bag Making - Day Workshop
Spend a whole day sewing on my full-day beginners bag making workshop!
Learn how to sew a beautiful cotton and wax canvas shoulder bag complete with lining and pockets along with a small drawstring bag. I will guide you through the whole process, showing you how to thread and use the machine and construct your bags, whilst all taught in a relaxed, supportive and fun environment.
You’ll be given all the materials ready cut with detailed instructions on how to
sew your bags and you'll have the choice of two gorgeous fabrics to make your shoulder bag and drawstring bag out of.
This workshop is a great way to start your sewing journey and you’ll leave with new-found knowledge, confidence and inspiration for future projects plus you’ll take home two beautiful, professionally made items you can enjoy for years to come.
Sewing machines and accessories will be provided, so all you need to do is turn up! If you would like to bring your own machine please let the venue know via email once you have booked with them.

- Threading and using a domestic sewing machine
- General sewing techniques
- Edge stitching
- Sewing a zipper
- Boxing corners
- Achieving a professional finish
- Making a gorgeous shoulder bag and zipped pouch
